  4. 2 C pecan halves (or walnut)
  5. 36 caramels
  6. 3 T margarine
  7. 1/2 tsp vanilla
  8. 2/3 C chocolate chips
  9. 1 1/2 tsp shortening
  10.  
  11. Put wax paper on baking sheet. Arrange nuts in clusters of 4 and place 
  12. 1" apart. Melt caramels and margarine. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla
  13. til thoroughly mixed.. Drop by teaspoons into center of cluster touching 
  14. all 4 pecans to hold together. Cool. 
  15.  
  16. Melt chocolate and shortening. Spread over caramels.
